Reignite and Restore

The middle of the school year can be a fantastic opportunity to address and change what might not be working in the classroom. Our 'Reignite and Restore' program helps students reflect on their classroom community, and develop the vision and skills needed for the rest of the school year. This field trip experience assits students in reaching out to one another and understand the community they have built over the first months of school. By focusing on what is working well, this program helps students look forward, and set aside past thoughts, patterns, and behaviours that may have been harmful to classroom community.

'Reignite and Restore' supports school initiatives in social-emotional learning, restorative practice, and anti-bullying, as it focuses on students understanding their identity, addressing conflict, and working together in a collaborative community. Programming may include winter survival skills, group initiative tasks, low ropes, and climbing activities such as our high ropes challenge course.

Throughout this program, students will share laughs, rebuild classroom community, and building meaningful connections to curricular expectations. This program is intended for students Grade 4-6.
