Brian Lisson

Brian is the President and founder of Adventureworks! Associates, Inc. Brian has been actively involved in facilitating adventure experiences, building ropes courses and training adventure leaders for over twenty years. He has also been Camp Director at Canterbury Hills, a sessional lecturer at McMaster University, and Director of Professional Development Programs at Outward Bound Canada.

Brian has worked with a wide variety of clientele. He has facilitated programs for human service professionals, teachers, corporate teams, students, young offenders and therapy groups.

Brian has presented internationally at the Association for Experiential Education Conference and the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). He has presented locally at many professional organizations including OCA, BCCA, PRO, and COEO. Brian currently sits as a member of the Installation and Equipment Standards Committee of the ACCT.


Kathy Haras, Ph.D.

Kathy is Vice President and Director of Challenge Course and Climbing Program Services at Adventureworks! Associates, Inc. She has been facilitating outdoor adventure experiences for over 15 years. Kathy has worked with a variety of clientele including; corporate management teams, people with disabilities, and Olympic athletes.

Kathy holds Bachelors degrees in Outdoor Recreation and Natural Science, a Masters Degree in Recreation Administration and a Ph.D. in Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences from Texas A&M University. Kathy has taught at McMaster, Brock, and Lakehead Universities.


Shawn Stetson

Shawn is a Senior Consultant and Director of Facilitation and Program Services. He has been facilitating experiential and adventure based programs for well over a decade. He has worked with a wide range of clientele including; educators, students, corporate and professional teams, adjudicated and vulnerable youth. Shawn has extensive experience facilitating and managing challenge course programs. His experience directing programs at Camp Maple Leaf, Camp Trillium, YMCA Cedar Glen, and Trails Youth Initiatives has involved training, developing and supervising various staff teams.

He is a graduate of Seneca College’s Outdoor Recreation Technician and Algonquin College’s Recreation Leadership programs. Shawn is currently completing his Thesis at the University of Waterloo.


Adam Brown

Adam is a Senior Consultant and the Operations Manager for Challenge Course and Climbing Program Services. He has worked in the camping and outdoor education field for more than 10 years, and was most recently a Co-Director of Cairn Presbyterian Camping.

Adam has facilitated programs for a wide variety of participants, including students, teachers, professional groups and community organizations. He has extensive experience designing leadership and community building experiences. He holds a degree in Politics from Trent University and has presented for numerous organization including the International Camping Fellowship, the Ontario Camps Association and the Quebec Camping Association.


Blair Niblett, B.A. B.Ed. M.A.

Blair is a Senior Consultant at Adventureworks! Associates, Inc. He has worked in the camping and outdoor education industry for almost a decade. Blair has facilitated programmes for a variety of youth and adult participants including: school aged youth, ESL students, “youth-at-risk”, and corporate clients.

Blair holds Bachelor's degrees in Outdoor Recreation, Psychology and Education and a Masters in Education. Blair is currently completing his Ph.D.

Jodie Fluit
Jodie is a Senior Consultant and has worked as a facilitator and trainer at Adventureworks for almost ten years. Jodie is an experienced outdoor leader and has worked in a variety of experiential education programs. She has extensive experience facilitating and leading youth leadership development programs.

Jodie has worked with young adults for the school of "Outtatown" a travel and service learning program that travels in Canada and internationally. She was also the Dean of Women and an Outdoor Instructor at Summit College. Jodie has also worked as the Assistant Director of "Prosago", a leadership development program at Medeba Adventure Centre.

Jodie Fluit is a graduate of McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology. In her third and fourth years, she focused on the Outdoor and Adventure Education courses. She continues to pursue her favourite outdoor activities of rock or ice climbing, mountain biking and canoe tripping in her many adventures around the world.
