Creating a Welcoming Climate for Grade 9’s
Our Great Start program helps your school create a welcoming climate for incoming Grade 9 students by helping them form positive connections and relationships with one another. When students experience a greater sense of belonging they become more engaged in the high school experience. This leads to higher levels of retention and academic achievement.
Providing Leadership Opportunities for Senior Students
Our Great Start program is an innovative welcome day experience which is facilitated by senior students at your school. Our unique approach includes peer leader training for senior students, on-site support from our professional staff, planning and follow-up for teachers, and all the equipment required to ensure a successful day for your Grade 9 class.
