Wilderness First Responder
Wilderness First
Responder (WFR) prepares you for emergency situations that
involve prolonged patient care, severe environments and improvised
equipment. The WFR course enables graduates to handle most wilderness
trauma and medical emergencies. Graduates will be equipped with the
knowledge to evaluate medical emergencies and make decisions concerning
field treatment and evacuation priorities. This 72 hour course is
complete medical training for trip leaders and is designed for those
people who work and/or travel in remote areas.
Wilderness Advanced
First Aid
Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) prepares you for emergency
situations that involve prolonged patient care, severe environments
and improvised equipment. WAFA introduces wilderness medicine and
wilderness medical protocols. This 36 hour course provides the knowledge
and skills to save lives and to manage common back country medical
problems. It is designed
for people who work and
travel in less remote areas and assistant leaders on back country trips. |
