Assistant Ropes Course Instructor
This entry level certification teaches the technical, facilitation, and
safety management skills required to lead low and high ropes programmes.
Course candidates explore adventure-based facilitation, standards, and
effective operating procedures as they develop the safe attitude,
skills, and knowledge that enable them to work on a ropes course.
Successful completion leads to certification as a Level 1 Challenge
Course Practitioner.
Ropes Course
Instructor
This advanced level certification focuses on skills that enable
experienced assistant instructors to create innovative programs, enhance
meaningful involvement and respond to emergencies. Course candidates
learn additional belaying and descending techniques, pulley systems,
operation of unique elements and rescue techniques. Successful
completion leads to certification as a Level 2 Challenge Course
Practitioner.
Ropes Course Manager
Designed for experienced ropes course instructors this certification
focuses on the safe and effective management of ropes course and
climbing wall programmes. Participants develop an increased
understanding of how standards, current research, testing, emergency
preparedness, staff training and supervision, and programme assessment
can be applied to their facility. Successful completion leads to
certification as a Challenge Course Manager. |
