Low Ropes Course
Facilitator
This 20 hour course introduces participants to games, initiatives, trust
exercises, and leadership skills that enable them to facilitate low ropes
course experiences. Emphasis is placed on
sequencing, spotting, and safe activity operations. This course provides opportunities for participants to learn and practice
activity design, leadership, facilitation and debriefing skills.
Participants develop their own facilitation skills through a full day of
peer leadership followed by reflection and feedback. Successful
completion of course and testing leads to certification as a Level One
Challenge Course Practitioner (Spotted Activities Only).
Low Ropes Course Leadership
This one day workshop introduces camp staff to the fundamentals of
leading a low ropes course program. Participants learn and practice the basic
spotting and safety skills for leading campers through low ropes course
activities. Participants are introduced to sequencing, activity briefing, and safe set-up and operations.
No certification is provided with this training workshop. |
